Easter

I have grown to LOVE the tradition of taking these girls shopping for Easter dresses. It's fun to see their different styles and personalities. They do a great job picking the dresses out themselves.

Aliza was actually given two lovely dresses for her birthday that she was fine to use as Easter dresses too. With a birthday so close to Easter it worked out well.

Spring Break Scipio Fun

These stray cats in Scipio love all the attention from our girls. Shortly after this visit to Scipio they took the cats to another home where we can't visit them. The girls are so sad, but I'm kind of glad. I was always worried we would get sick of something from loving on them. Yuck!

On one of our trips out on the golf cart we were talking about cowboys. Abbie and Avery mentioned that they do not find them attractive at all, and Aliza replied "I want a cowboy". We all bust out laughing. I love that girl!

Another adventure of the golf cart this trip we were riding along and discussing how awful it would be to see a snake on the side of the road. Grandma had bee telling us about snakes in the area. Right then I said "what is that" and as we looked ahead there was a snake in the middle of the road right in front of us. I hurried and swerved so the tires wouldn't hit it and we all screamed at the top of our lungs. Unfortunately to get back to grandma and grandpas house we had to drive by it again. It took as awhile to gain enough courage to drive by it again, but it was just laying in the middle of the road. We assumed it was dead but we drove by a few hours later and it was gone. Just thinking about it makes my skin crawl. I hate snakes.

My mom arranged for a teen boy in town to take my girls on horse back rides. They were so excited and Aliza was not shy at all. She was right by this cowboys side wanting to be next to the horse. Abbie and Avery were a little more reserved. Because of her eagerness she got the first ride.

Abbie and Avery were disappointed that they were led by the boy around the field instead of by themselves, but I was relieved that he had it all under control. I could just see them being bucked off a horse without knowing properly how to ride one.

After riding we were able to feed their new calf. 

It was very slobbery.

Dying Easter eggs at grandmas has become a tradition. They look forward to it every year.

They were up bright and early ready for our very own Easter egg hunt. After the girls found all of the eggs they made their own Easter egg hunts around the yard over and over again. They loved hiding those plastic eggs and finding them.

We went to a campground one afternoon to roast hot dogs. It was fun to be outside and have a picnic.

The girls were exploring together for a very long time. I overheard Abbie teaching Aliza about evaporation which was cute. They loved being outside!

Crazy Friends

Everyone needs one of those fun friends that you can be wild and crazy with. That would be Abbie's friend Rachel for Abbie. These two girls have the best time together, and can get pretty crazy.

Abbie is continuing to love her elective class in school of Broadcast. They were able to take a field trip to a real news station. She had the best time and really enjoyed that they stopped at Panera for lunch not the way home (her favorite).

Aliza's 7th Birthday

Aliza's birthday fell on a Friday this year. Abbie and Avery surprised her before school with a beta fish. Aliza's top wish this year was her very own fish. She named it Hello Kitty Ariel Phillips. We put a cute figurine of Hello Kitty in the fish bowl, so she thought it would be cute to name her fish that. Now when you look in the bowl it say's Hello Kitty kind of like a name plate. Sounds good to me.

Her food choices this year included pancakes and sausage for breakfast, a lunch date with mom and Subway sandwiches for lunch, and crepes for dinner. She waited all day to open her gifts. Luckily, she had gymnastics after school which helped the long wait for dad to get home and open her gifts.

She requested a rainbow cake with blue frosting. This cake was fun to make, and yummy too.

I think she was definitely spoiled this year. Grandparents sent such fun things, and the cards sent from family were amazing. This little girl ended up with $65 in cash, plus some gift cards. Holy Cow!

Micah picked out for her a necklace and earrings with pink, sparkly unicorns on them. Her reaction was priceless. She was ecstatic to say the least. She has been wearing them constantly since she got them.

We are continuing our tradition of everyone in our family writing a letter to the birthday girl. I snuck a peak at her letters from her sisters and it made me cry because they were so sweet. I'm sure Aliza felt very loved.

The day after her birthday we took two of Aliza's best friends to the mall to make a Build a Bear together. Look at how sweet these girls are. They were all so excited.

I was so glad that Abbie and Avery came to help me out, because it was hard to keep track of these three girls. They helped these girls pick out their bears and outfits.

Three very happy girls off to McDonald's for lunch. We all had a wonderful time at Aliza's party. Like I said before, she was very spoiled this year. We all love our Lizzie, and I can't imagine our family without her. She keeps us smiling and laughing all of the time. I love her to peices!

St. Patricks Day

I love St Patrick's day simply for the fact that we can do something fun and different from our usual weekly routine. Our kids woke up to their favorite cereal that I rarely buy. They have gotten better at eating all of the cereal without just picking out the marshmallows. I can't blame them because I would like to just pick out and eat the marshmallows too.

That leprechaun left me a mess to clean up. The kids thought this was hilarious.

I had to snap a picture of this cute girl in her green. We had quite a few cards and packages full of green surprises. They loved it all.

We had our traditional green dinner. This year was green pesto pasta, green beans, green salad and rainbow jello cups. We had planned on green sherbet floats, but I ended up taking Avery to the doctor for strep throat. So, we enjoyed our floats the next day. So glad we could get Avery started on some medicine.

Aliza even had a leprechaun mess up her first grade classroom and leave them a treat. I don't know what room mom would do something like that. ;)
